Harbinger Network Inc. is currently working with a General Contractor in the Lower Mainland BC area and we are in search for a qualified individual to take on a Director of Construction and Business Development Role. This individual will be tasked with developing business by using their already strong business contacts within the Vancouver Marketplace. Our client is looking for someone who has a wealth of experience in large concrete commercial base building projects from the pre-construction side and has experience estimating these types of projects. The ideal candidate has a strong reputation within the industry built on Integrity, Honesty, Strong Leadership and Entrepreneurial vision which are all key attributes in this role as you will be tasked with growing a division of this company. Build account portfolio by using current industry contacts to gain new business opportunities.
Plan, organize and manage daily operations of multiple projects at once.
Monitor construction schedules and project progress to ensure scheduling needs are met.
Must have the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
Ensure safety regulations and measures are being followed and maintained on site.
Must be able to maintain positive relationships and provide direction for estimating team, architects, clients, etc.
Must be able to project budgets and monitor budget adjustments to ensure client’s needs are met.
20 years of construction experience with at least 10 years at a Supervisory level
Construction/Engineering related diploma/degree
Contract negotiation/management skills
A strong safety record
Sound technical skills
Current Account Portfolio in the Vancouver Area.
